Sicilians do have a thing with pistacchios and almonds... plus citrus and seafood.
The pizza is thin crust with different toppings that you'd find in the states. I love it - had a pizza with cheese, onions, reduced balsamic vinegar, the next night had some pizza with shrimp, tomatos, cheese, and ground pistachio.... there's that pistachio again.
I'm also in love with the almond cookies and with the pastries in the morning.
Katie, did you order that? Or do Sicilians happen to like things with pistachios? How long are in in Sicily? How is the food, like pizza?
